The Burning Chamber
Kate Moss
Rating ★★★
A bit predictable but well written and honestly what I loved the most about it was the level of history it went into. Especially as I'm not quite as familiar with the French Religious Wars as I am with the British ones so I was really glad to have the opportunity to learn more about it. Characters were interesting but a bit lacking in flaws at times, especially Minou and her relationship with Peit. Still an interesting book and glad I read it.

Black Girls Day Off
Leah T Williams
Rating ★★★★★
Wow, I absolutely loved this. Zoomed through it and it was so so worth it. An easy read, the three main characters are sent back in time to key moments in American History for the Black Civil Rights movement and as a history fan, someone who supports equality for everyone and is big on civil rights it was amazing to read all of the events, see the impact it had on the characters and to watch them grow over the course of the book.
Really really enjoyed it and so glad I was able to win this book in a giveaway here on Storygraph (Review is my own in its entirety)
